Google Chrome | | Google released their browser today. They named it Google Chrome and boasted it is the fastest and most secure browser ever. We could not wait to give it a test drive.
There is a very clear verdict. Google promised a lot and lived up to their promises. Hats off to Google. Soaring Spot works perfectly in Google Chrome. One thing needs to be said to give Chrome the praise it deserves. We test our products on multiple platforms and multiple versions of Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer and others. While I personally like to work with keyboard and therefore prefer Opera, the winner of the speed contest amongst browsers is now clearly Google Chrome. It may be too early to reccommend Google Chrome at this moment. But certainly - give it a try! http://www.google.com/chrome See the comics explaining Google Chrome: http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/ | | author: Andrej Kolar 02/09 at 20:21 | Weather maps for Europe | |
You have flown in a competition. You have all the IGC files. And you have replayed them numerous times already. But... What was the weather like on that day? What was the forecast?
Wetter-Jetzt team now provides the weather maps for Soaring Spot! For all competition days starting January 2008 you may now see the the weather forecast as soon as the task is published by the scoring team. After the flight you may revisit the Meteo page in order to find even more maps there which will enable you to do a little bit of weather analysis for free. A good example of how this data is integrated to Soaring Spot may be seen at the competition pages of Flight Challenge Cup from Prievidza, Slovakia:
