Well, the show's over and toys are back in boxes. No gliding occurred (you aren't surprised, are you?) but they did manage to have an airshow and the chaps/chapesses in wheelchairs dragged a 757 along the runway.

So far we have had an arrival from a P51 Mustang, a CAP232 and a Boeing 757. A P40 Kittyhawk arrived and did a pretty good display considering the low cloud base! The only gliders which have flown so far are a pair of 1/3 scale jet powered ...

Today is the Public day. There will be an airshow and model flying display. The programme will be reduced because some aircraft can't get here and because of local wind conditions.

Day 2.1 (5th Sept.)

Unsurprisingly (if you are looking out of a South of England window) I don't think it will happen again today (I am neither Met-man nor Director) , however the day is not yet officially scrubbed as there is a very slight possibility of a soarable window later.
