Thanks to everyone who got involved with flying the tasks and helping out on the ground over the weekend. Monday turned out to be quite good. Looking at the traces from the racers it was a difficult run down to Darlton and back up to Colsterworth but it then got very good for the final part of the task. The scoring is a mix of grand prix style scoring for the amblers and more traditional scoring for the racers. The scoring script I was using couldn't handle distances of less than 100km so I had a bit of manual and automated scoring taking place. Will see if I can persuade SeeYou to use a bespoke scoring script for next year to allow smaller marking distances.
Don't forget to update the ladder if applicable:

A very short window of opportunity allowed 2 racers to set off down track. Some good thermals but lots of waiting around for it to get soarable along each leg. Later in the day another window opened up for Alice to fly a K21 around the short task. A little help from dad with the direction to fly and lots of 'humpty bumps' along the way (A weird variation on dolphin flying).

Well done to Dave Sharp for taking a K21 around the short task. No traces submitted for the Racing task. A few of us set off but didn't get anywhere near 60km for 'Y'.

Make sure you have loaded the latest airspace file, CGC_TaskWe_V2.cub which includes the Langar extended parachute zone for this weekend.

I have added a second task group to give pilots the option of choosing a big or small task depending upon their requirements. At present all pilots are included for both task groups.

The August bank holiday is almost here. We plan to set some short tasks over the bank holiday. I have added an airspace file that was valid in March 2025 (Does not include any Notams) along with a Cranwell specific TP list. I will very likely be using Brant Broughton and Digby Hangar as checkpoints, these are not in the standard set of BGA turnpoints. I have added the names of a few of the usual suspects, who have already put there names on the attendance planner, to the entry list. If you...
