So, today last day for us. Last two days were a bit tricky, but (I hope) all pilots were happy.

An international evening yesterday was funny, long enought, full of drinks and food.

9.5.2014 - JR's briefing

Kenyan African weather !!   Hello everybody, yoregelt, Let us speak about yesterday’s task. Against all odds , and against what you felt and told me on the grid, the weather turned to be quite OK and the task was a good call with the best speed of the contest so far. The comedy of errors

Yesterday s tsak was definitively tricky. It took some time for the weather to develop, so we had to delay the take offs, the opening of the line and cancel the closing time of the line. But conditions improved. Not enough for 10 pilots who either landed out or did not complete the task. the rocord for short distance belongs to a pilot who managed 0,9 k ! But there were also six penalties and two warnings....  pilots being too low on reaching the ´ring´, or losing point for not reading the task...

Day 2 and day 3

The second comp day proved better than forecast and speeds were up by a notch. competitors had clouds  sometimes streeting ! It might be different today due to stronger winds and a drier airmass giving blus thermals. Optimism being a rule here, we will see. JR Faliu

6.5.2014 - Day 2

Briefing 10:00, runway 16/18 for grid is open, first take off at 11:30 - we will fly AAT (3 hours) in blue thermals! 4.5.2014 - First competition day remarks

In spite of the weather, or because of it, Ludek, Peter and myself, JR, are working on the computers to get all the loggers checked so that everything runs smoothly from day one. Meanwhile the weather is clearing. Will it be sufficient to have gliders in the air ? The next hours will tell.

4.5.2014 - First competition day

Last night was full of water, now is still rain over the airfield. Briefing will be at 10.00, but no tasks for today, only test flights from 15.00-16.00. We hope, that from tomorrow can we fly every day!

3.5.2014 - training day

So, we have our mandatory training day. Weather conditions are tricky, but some competitors decided to fly - check instruments, engines, airspace adjustments,... Our competition is one from first in coming european season... First briefing will be tomorrow at 10.00LT.
