Very Blue, Very Hot Forecast with no thermals between here and Thames. Sadly, not taskable today.
Forecast strong Westerlies make the Kaimai Ridge the favoured option again. Low cloudbase makes it difficult to get away from Drury and a strong headwind makes it hard to get back. In the end, Wave from the Wairanga set up over Tirohia and the Swamp made for climbs to 6500 to get homewards to Mercer. However, must needed another climb around Hotel DeVin in order to make it home to Drury.

Finally a change in the weather. Forecast gentle westerlies implied the Kaimai ridge would act as a trigger but in the end the wind was strong enough for the ridge to work properly. Returning from the Kaimai ridge to Drury is allways difficult in this weather but most made it home.

Another weather repeat. Task setter felt confident enough to post a 300Km Triangle racing task down to Ranginui, with the option of claiming a 300km diamond again. In the end the thermals died too early to get everyone home in time

Overdevelopment and rain showers forecast later in the day. So the task setter compromised and set a 300km Out and Return. Only one landout. Two Diamond Claims pending. Go figure.
