Monster Day or Magic Day?

Predicted conditions were "interesting" today with the strong influence of Tropical Cyclone Sean throwing overcast at all levels.  Thirteen competitors launched into hot and trying 43 degrees C conditions before the convection really had a chance to "take off". Two returned to the airfield and the remainder strode forth into the task area, some tentatively... However!
