Day 5

Briefing will be at 9:30am. Longer tasks have been set as we are expecting improved weather conditions. It will be a blue day with little or no clouds. First take off is expected at 12:00 midday.

End of Day 4

All pilots are back safely. It was a challenging day towards the north as expected, but good speeds were achieved by the competing pilots. Well done to all who completed the task. More updates tomorrow!

MS is the last glider to arrive. She has reported that she is on Final glide now. All other pilots are back safely!

Day 4 - Continued

Some pilots are reporting good conditions on track, while others are struggling to connect with the lift and they have not started yet. 1 pilot has landed back at the airfield.

Day 4 - All Pilots launched

All pilots have been launched, and all start gates have been opened. Pilots are already on task. Challenging conditions are expected again, however the weather to the south is looking quite good.

Day 4

Briefing is about to get underway. No overdevelopment is expected today, however the weather looks to be challenging. Shorter tasks have been set, with first take off expected to be between 12:00 and 12:30. Today will be day 4 for open class and 15m class. It will be day 2 for club class.

Day 3

Soaring spot seems to have been down, so no updates were possible. Pilots in 15 meter class and open class are on task. Some pilots have already returned. Weather conditions at the airfield are getting worse with rain and lightning.

End of Day 2

All pilots are accounted for. PN and 27 have long retrieves ahead of them, with them both being close to Ventersdorp. High speeds were achieved so well done to those pilots. More updates tomorrow!!
