Saturday 16th - Scrubbed Again!

Strong westerly wind has blown a sheet of top cover over the site. Very poor thermals with wave influence. Both classes scrubbed and local flights into wave and onto the Wrekin Hill.

Finisher in the Open Class!

Scatchy day with only two past Y in the Open Class with Allan Tribe getting round with three high cloud climbs. Sports class scrubbed off the grid.

Recall & Retask!

Sport class launched then a large shower went through. Open launch delayed due to non-gliding reasons and those Open aircraft airborne recalled (something no one can recall happening at the Inter-services for many, many years!). Open class rebreifed and tasked into a less shower prone area.

Deep depression north of Scotland causing strong winds at Cosford, unsafe to attempt flying here. Some gliders gone to Lleweni Parc to run the ridges.
