All classes with shorter tasks today for last day of competition. Open /18 and Std/ 15 on 3 hour AAT's. Big circles so distances 250k - 520k possible for both big wings, and Std/15. Clubbies have 2:30 hr to go around a 150 k - 300 k route. All gliders in the air on time and first gliders expected back after 3:20.
Some of the gliders tied down around the airfield. A few more in hangars

Sadly Task cancelled today. Organisers did task Open / 18 for as short AAT, but even that had to canned due weather.

Turned into a quiet but windy lay day. Competition for good photos underway. See first entrant in the gallery - "Alpha Golf - Good Finish" credit DonWoodward
Approaching front this afternoon has led task setters to recommend a day off. Many pilots seem almost quietly pleased as the first four days have been long and wearying. Standout for Day 4 was a smashing 742 kms in just over 5 hours from Adam Woolley ( 147 kph). Well done.
Another bright sunny day, hot before the expected change tomorrow. Big day predicted with big tasks to the north west. Big wings get 5 hour AAT that might even fit a 750 if the weather really supported it. Standard / 15 get a 4:30 AAT and Clubbies inside them on 4:00. First gliders in the air at 11:45, and last gate expected open at about 13:15.
