At last we got everyone up and away on a task. Still a fresh Westerly, so once they could work their way up to the Kaimai Range there was a good run up towards Paeroa and back to abeam Matamata.
There however the good news ended, and most of the fleet landed out around the Tokoroa area. Retrieves were many and various, but it was good to get a day with points.
This can be a frustrating sport! We had high hopes for a good day today - no rain - but the wind got up instead, and killed any chance of a flyable task. Day cancelled again. Bugger.

Another frustrating day. It looked good, and Skysight indicated a taskable day, but the local forecast was for rain in the afternoon so we launched an hour or so earlier than normal, and that meant that quite a lot struggled with only weak thermals. However a few of those that were able to hang in there were rewarded with a completed task and earlier refreshments!

A much better gliding day. It wasn't easy - there were three landouts - but enough got around the course to at last get a scoring day.

We're off to a promising start on Practice Day - beautiful sunny skies, although quite strong Westerlies mean not great thermals. We will launch a task this afternoon and see what happens.
