Disappointingly, we are not able to set a task for Day 7 due to the weather, so the contest is over with only one scoring day.
We did have some good flying and "interesting" days, but in the end we can only do what the weather allows.
Thanks to the pilots and helpers who supported the Contest, and we look forward to seeing many of you again in a couple of weeks for the Northern Regionals.
Able to set a task today, but unfortunately only one pilot was able to complete it, so again we will have no points. It was certainly a challenging day, and finished with some quite heavy rain and thunder in the vicinity - fortunately after all were on the ground. (Not all back at the field!) Hopefully taskable again for the final day tomorrow.

Not a good week for gliding. No flying on Day 4, and looks like no flying on Day 5 either. We did get a start on Day 3, but it was a difficult day and no points were awarded. So it's the usual gliding situation..."Hurry up and wait!"

A bit of a patchy start to the Central Plateau Competition this year. Practise Day and Day 1 were OK with Mark Tingey and Geoff Thompson taking first and second places respectively, but no flying on Day 2. Today, Day 3 is looking taskable later in the day.
