The weather forecast changed overnight, there was not gridding before briefing. No cross country task has been set today, however there has been one launch for the height gain so far. Look like its about to rain, but will see what the afternoon brings, last launch is at 18:00

29th UKMSC - 6 - 12 September 2026 - Deeside Gliding Club - Aboyne
The 29th UK Mountain Soaring Championship starts on Sunday 6th September 2026 at Deeside Gliding Club, Aboyne. This UKMSC comprises of two seperate competitions running in parallel, the first is a traditional cross-country racing format with the second focussed on height gain. All competitors are automatically entered into both, with the tasks, scores and updates published here on Soaring Spot.
