The strong wind and overcast skies turned to reasonable conditions and the twenty three competitors all launched without a hitch, some launched several times. Conditions were not expected to be great so we set a 150km to 370km AAT and only 5 of the 17 Open Class pilots got around and none of the Club Class. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the retrieves were easy so I thimk we\'ve had a good start. We were treated to a very tasty BBQ and dessert by the local Taupo Gliding Club members to finish off the day.
