Day 1 turned out to be much better than we expected with our winners completing the task in excess of 100 km/h and devaluing the day on winner's time.

We welcomed James Ewence flying Discus B competition number 364 as the first finisher of the competition. James placing third for the day behind former British Team pilots Jake Brattle and Johnny Roberts - Jake demonstrating he has lost none of his abilities during a 4 year absence from competitive flying.

It was without a doubt the best soarig day of the year so far. All but two pilots completed the task and there were lots of happy smiling faces enjoying their African inspired food last night.
