Day 7

All pilots have been briefed. We will be gridding on runway 18R, so there will be no water for any classes. The weather looks challenging today, so short tasks have been set.

Day 6 continued

Although the weather looks very good, we have reports from the south that the front has moved in quicker than we thought. We have therefore changed to task B for Open and 15m class so that we keep the pilots in the good weather and out of the cold dry air behind the front. Club class will still fly task A as their task was set towards the west. Our two pilots that had undercarriage collapses are flying today, well done! More updates soon along with some very high speeds think.

Task Update

Pilots in the 15m class are already at the second turn point. Perhaps we should not have changed to task B, as it seems that even without water the speeds are going to be high! Another great competition day!

Grid Launched

The grid has been launched, however all aircraft had to release their water ballast to ensure launches were carried out safely. The weather looks very good and we are expecting hi speeds. Because all aircraft are not carrying any ballast, we have selected task B for all classes. More updates soon!
