Central Plateau Soaring Competition

New Zealand,   November 1, 2008 – November 9, 2008

Day 2

Again the overcast cleared late in the day, too late to set a task and get all the gliders launched and settled which takes about an hour. We cancelled the day and most pilots went free flying at about 3 o\'clock. The Wellington pilots Dane, Grae, Martyn and Warren flew North into the Waikato for about a 300km flight while others went to the East and the South. Not bad for a cancelled day and Warren was heard to say "what\'s it like on a good day then". We\'re still optimistic we\'ll get some good competition days and people are getting some good flying which keeps us all happy.
