Well done to Dave Bromley for dodging the showers and making it around the task.
Three pilots set off on task and all three finished. It was very close between Ian and Hamish for second and third places, I am hoping the scores are correct. Conditions looked good from the ground but the low cloudbase and surprisingly weak climbs on task made it quite tricky. Tomorrow is looking even more difficult!

Task briefing cancelled due to weather. Rain stopped play after 5 aerotows this morning. Hopefully tomorrow will bring a short tasking window.

Looks like normal British summer conditions have returned just in time for the task/soaring weekend. Perhaps some soaring on Saturday when it's not raining. The planned BBQ Saturday night is not looking like it will happen with rain forecast from about 15:30 through to 20:00. (And thats one of the more optimistic forecasts!) The rest of the weekend is looking breezy and showery.
