The airspace file downloadable under the Airspace section above was built as an excerpt of AIP Italia dated March 18th 2022.
The following limitations apply:
- It does not contain airspaces above FL195.
- Except for Samedan FIZ, Locarno CTR, Lugano CTR and Sion CTR, it does not contain non Italian airspaces.
- It was computed automatically from AIP Italia, which is the sole applicable reference (in Italy).
- Class "F" airspace was used for parks.
- Class "CTR" was used for ATC class D airspace that extend from the ground (shown in solid blue area on the images below).
- Class "Q" (Danger zone) was used for area other than D zones, like parachute dropping, military firing ranges, aerobatic boxes.
- Class "P" (Prohibited area) was used for P zones.
- Many AIP airspace have floor and ceiling expressed in flight level. Those were converted to feet with the formula:
altitude in feet= FL x 100 (eg. FL130 -> 13000ft AMSL)
The files below are images (JPG and PNG) showing the rendering of airspaces in SeeYou.
They show altitude in meters using the conversion factor 1ft = 0.3048m.
