NZ Sports Class Nationals 2009

Matamata, New Zealand,   16 February 2009 – 27 February 2009

A Challenging Day 2

The day started with clear blue skies and a promisiong forecast so a 140 km to 200 km AAT task was set. The first glider launched shortly after noon into promising skies but an hour later the Northern half of the course was almost total overcast which meant most of the field landed out. Not Our Robin though, she was the only finisher and the 1000 points has put her into the lead. Hard luck for yesterday\'s winner who got the second circle size wrong and turned 3 km short then flew back to the airfield assuming he had won the day.

It\'s looking good for the next two days then we will probably get a rest day while the farmers get their paddocks irrigated..
