Good morning to one and all and the many visitors to the Soaringspot.com website following our activities here at Welkom. It is always good to know that there are people around the world watching us and enjoying the flying activities here, if not possible in person.
Today it is another strong breezy easterly wind with cloud on the southern horizon. Somehow the day does not feel as promising, but Sven assures me that it will be similar conditions to yesterday.
The Atlantic high is moving in, and no rain is predicted. There is still the inflow of moist air from Botswana, and there is a possibility of isolated storms and perhaps some hail. Humidity is higher and 5/8th cu expected by about 2 p.m. Winds are N/NW light, with max temperature of 31° and dewpoint of 10.1°.
By 5 p.m. there is spread-out expected and conditions are likely to die rapidly. The comparison charts of the last few days show it to be slightly cooler though more moist. The temperatures by tomorrow and the following days are expected to drop by a further degree or two.

This morning there is a lack of good water pressure at the airfield, so not all the gliders have filled up with water. It has been decided that if they have not all filled by 11.15 a.m. then all the 18m/Open class will have to dump their water. All gliders need to be on the grid by 11.15 a.m. with a 1st launch by 11.30 a.m.
