1er Batuco HG Race Otoño 2015

Task 1

First day of official competition, pilots were exited about the new experince, good weather (apparently) and good vibes.

Task start time changed to 15:30 due to extended briefing to set the task into instruments.

After a really good start with thermals up to 1450 msl. (good for the time of year) all competitors marked the start except Roberto, who landed after takeoff. Good but not for too long, after turnpoint one, three pilots outlanded, the other two managed to fly for another 4 kms, until they landed short close to "carretera" turnpoint.

I really hope we get better conditions next time, we will have to wait until next competition day who wins the next 1000 points to make difference.

Welcome to Batuco Race Otoño 2015, we are a group of enthusiast hang glider pilots that are trying to incorporate hang gliding competitions in Chile and to prepare ourselves to 2017 worlds.
