19.08 - Strong conditions with an interesting twist
The forecast was predicting almost blue conditions, however at 11:00 we already observed Cus in the task area.
A short 130km sand-clock task was set arround the airfield with the idea of an early finish.
Conditions were good but the strong N winds again chopped up thermals making for some tricky conditions.
Most pilots finished the task with average speeds arround 70 Kph.
After the finish however Ivelin Kalushkov took adavntage of the non-closed start gate and restarted for a second attempt finnishing it at 90 kph avg. speed in the much better afternoon conditions.
18.08 - 150 Km in tricky conditions.
Day started very early with stronc conditions but very soon after cirrus rolled in on the task area making for some difficult times at least for the first pilots. Lot's of low saves and good conditions for the slower ones made for an interesting task with a photo finish for some. At the end the handicap decided the score. Last comp day tomorrow!

17.08 - Task 2 - 160 km Triangle
A nice 160km triangle was set in line with the forecasted convergence zones. Strong thermals and good clouds made for a fun task despite the stronger NW wind. Meteo forecasts were provided by the competition sponsor - Meteoblue

16-th August - Task 1 - 170 km "Sandclock"
Day forecast is for increasing NW winds with strong conditions and cloudbase arround 2300 m Cloudbase started at 2000m with strong conditions but saw a decrease in thermal strenght as the NW picked up and sheared the thermals. In the afternoon clouds homogenised and produced some nice cloudstreets with good lift for the late finishers. We still had 1 outlanding but very near the airfield wit a quick aerotow retrieve. Well done to all pilots for a safe flight!

14-th and 15-th August - Cancelled due to bad weather
A fast cold front makes for a heave thunderstorm activity in the task area so days are cancelled. Heavy rain and overcast arround. Perfect weather for polishing some gliders.

13-th of August - Practice Day
Practice day had tricky conditions with overcast and low-ish cloudbase. The small task proved to be a challenge but most pilots still managed well - pushing on!
