Great post-frontal conditions Saturday
With a couple of our seasoned cross country enthusiasts being away at the North West regionals, we had only 4 pilots who flew the tasks on Saturday. On Sunday we cancelled the tasks, as the rostered tuggie was away, so the only contestants present, Kevin and Sven, chose to rather jump in and assist Peter Clemence with the instruction and tugging respectively.
On Saturday, Sven won task 2 with 401 points (max 962), and Nicky won task 1 with 115 points (max 277).
Tomorrow and Sunday
This weekend's Gauntlet is going ahead with the option to fly a task tomorrow or Sunday (or both). There is no start time, so if you want an early launch, please ensure you get your name on the flying list early as club flying will continue as normal (i.e. no preference for Gauntleteers). I will send out the day's task the night before. It should be possible to print yourself a copy from the clubhouse PC. The Cape Gauntlet is open to all CGC pilots. CGC Gauntlet season 2015/2016
The Gauntlet is a monthly Cape Gliding Club 'ridge running' competition that we run during the South African summer season. This season we will attempt to set a single monthly task that is achievable for many more club members.
