Winners are Grinners - D2

These three smiling faces are creating a feeling of Dejavu.  Didn't we see them yesterday?  Yes, it's Paul Dickson (UKC), Allan Barnes (S7) and Bruce Taylor (QR) collecting the rewards for their efforts. Mak Ichicaka our comp weatherman had this to say about the day: "Matthew (Scutter) would have said: "the forecast was perfect".  Day developed as advertised except start was slower but that is the nature of this year. The crucial decision was where to turn in the top sector.  Bruce showed us ano...

Report - D1

Blue skies greeted today's competitors on the first formal day of racing.  The fleet made good use of bubbly, broken thermals and few visible indicators of lift to acheive a high rate of task completion and only two outlandings. Among the short wings, Allan Barnes (S7) walked away with the even ton and Kel Burgess (XBY), showing great consistency, occupied 2nd place yet again with 880pts. Bruce Taylor (QR) lead the long wings home yet again with an even 900pts, closely followed by his usual spar...
