2020 NSW State Championships

Lake Keepit, Australia,   14 November 2020 – 21 November 2020

Tasking - D4

Task setter Bruce Taylor (QR) has decided to stretch the legs of the group, setting racing tasks of 382km for the short wings and 502km for the long wings.  That will put competitors just 30km from the Queensland state border!

Bruce must have liked what comp weatherman Mac Ichikawa (1M) had to say, promising 4-5kts to 4,500' AGL at 12:00, increasing to 5-7kts to 7,500' AGL with Cu by 3pm, even higher in the north.  The soaring day is forecast to continue into the early evening with 4-5kts at 1700hrs and still 3-4kts by 1800hrs!  Skysight has crunched the metrics and suggests potential flight distances in the 550-880km range are possible so let's hope our competitors prove the forecast correct.
